Logging into your PC

View this video to see how to login to the PC that was shipped to you. Below are answers to possible questions that may arise during login.

Potential Problems or Questions:

PC prompts for Region & Keyboard -A few users will be prompted for Region [U.S.] and keyboard [U.S.] (you can skip another keyboard). For most users these questions have been answered on the laptop already.

If you get a Stop sign when you log in, you can correct this by logging in with the correct account. If you used a different Microsoft account, you should be able to log in with your @ptm.services account instead. If you logged in with a local account, follow the instructions in https://e.ptm.services/correct-login.

Microsoft requires that I install Authenticator – You may be prompted to install Microsoft Authenticator App on your phone so that you can complete login. Actually, you can use any TOTP (Time-based One Time Password) Authenticator app like Authy if you already have that installed on your phone. Follow the instructions scanning the QR code into your Authenticator app and entering the numbers from it into your laptop.

Where are my Apps? Once you have logged in, O365 will install Office, Teams and the Zoom client automatically. 7-Zip and Adobe are already installed. Most users won’t need the Zoom Outlook plugin unless they are scheduling Zoom meetings.

Do I need to Log into Zoom? Unless you are booking meetings with clients, you don’t need to log into Zoom: simply join a meeting. If you are creating meetings with clients, DO NOT CREATE YOUR OWN ACCOUNT WITH YOUR PTM.SERVICES EMAIL. We will create that account for you so that it follows the procedures that are specified in our agreement with Zoom.
